Kuehling-Martz
A very pretty wedding occurred at the Lutheran Church in this Village at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon when Mr. Leo Martz of Tomahawk led one of Unity’s most estimable young ladies, Miss Louise Kuehling to the altar, where they were joined In holy wedlock by the Rev. Kuring of Colby.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kuehling and has resided here since childhood and has won a warm place in the hearts of her many friends.
The groom is highly spoken of as an entergetic young businessman and worthy of the prize he has won.
The attendants were Misses Anna Kuehling and Ida Schmitz, and Mr. Wm. Creed and Wm. Kuehling.
The bride wore a beautiful dress of white silk mall over cream taffeta, the groom was attired in the customary black.
The Church was very tastily decorated with fern and flowers, over one hundred guests were present and after the ceremony they repaired to the opera house where a reception was held. Refreshments were served after which a very enjoyable evening was spent in dancing.
The bride and groom were the recipients of many useful and costly presents showing the high esteem in which they were held by their friends.
Amont the guests from out of town who attended were Mrs. Gus Engelman of Tomahawk; Anna Ida and William Kuehling of Eldorado, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. A. Tueke of McMillen; Mr. and Mrs. Radtke, Mr. and Mrs. Reimer, and Ernest of March; Mr. and Mrs. J. Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. H. Eder, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Grimes of Colby.
The bride and groom left Friday for Tomahawk where they will make their future home, they were escorted to the depot by a host of their young friends who showered them wit the usual amount of rice.
